Eilidh Muldoon grew up in North Berwick, East Lothian and after studying history of art, specialised in illustration at Edinburgh College. The talented post-grad returned the following year as Illustrator in Residence and continues to teach part-time as well as a variety of freelance projects.

Gaining her first commission for book illustration, Eilidh was the illustrator of “Never Bite A Tiger On The Nose” by Lynne Rickards. Enchanting toddlers across Scotland, youngsters from Highlands to Borders would get to know her pictures through The Scottish Book Trust’s Bookbugs bag scheme.

Eilidh has a strong fascination for storytelling and hopes to continue to illustrate and design picture books in the future.

Her colouring books are engaging and captivating. Her aim was to encourage youngsters to interact with a building and works of art as well as the book. Her Art Adventure published by The National Galleries of Scotland certainly succeeds in achieving this vision, taking youngsters on an exciting art journey of art as well as their own achievement.

Eilidh enjoys holding book making workshops for children and has illustrated several book covers for both adult and children’s books.
